Hi there fellow simracers. I'm Peter and I call myself SimRaceViking on Youtube, Insta & TikTok where I mostly post realistic POV videos. The safety nets are hand made by me and my wife as we saw a need for nice looking nets to enhance the feeling and also make videofootage look better.
For me personally it enhances immersion a lot, as when I drive a normal car I have a door on my left, and a center console on the right. In sweden we sit on the left and drive at the right hand side of the road. So, the nets aren't really needed to create the feeling of being enclosed as I could use whatever to my left and right.
But if you are like me, realism is a big thing and that's where the nets fit in :)
